If only our local news would realize how foolish they really look to people that know the truth. How can they be so clueless after all these years? In an ideal world, good journalism is about facts.

Yes. That was 43 years ago. There was no registry, but there is nothing that indicates he would have been on it there had been one. He was a neighbor. The statement I made, David, is that we cannot find a single report of a child being harmed in connection with Halloween activities by someone on the registry. I stand by that statement and will unless someone turns up something that we have not been able to find. I will modify it by saying in the United States. I did not extend my research outside of the U.S.

Sandy, are you saying that there isn’t one recorded instance of a RSO offending on Halloween?..or is that claim only related to trick-or-treaters?

My understanding is that there is no increase of child sexual assaults on Halloween. It would be amazing if out of our nation’s nearly one million registered sex offenders there isn’t one recorded instance of an offense committed on Halloween.

There never was an increase of child sexual assault on Halloween, even before our current RSO hysteria. Great example of laws being passed with no regard for reality. Like pretty much everything negativing pertaining to RSO’s it has no basis in fact.

Cross my fingers that THIS story would feature in the news instead of the annual RSO boogeyman non-news that always gets spewed out.

Is this true?
