“the rest of the group was encouraged to join in the ridicule and accusations of denying the truth.”
This statement really resonated with me. This is a very common and continued practice with my therapy group. It really hurts to hear all of your peers in group say awful things to you in group because if they don’t they will get in trouble by our therapist for not taking it serious, and then apologize to you after group and they tell you they didn’t mean it. I know half dozen guys who have lied and added things that they didn’t do just to keep the therapist happy. Really sad!

What no mention of the release he undoubtedly signed before he entered the program? You can bet they’ve got it on file! Yea they lied, and I’ve no doubt some started making stuff up to fit the narrative, but the author did sign a release.

Compelled speech is illegal in the USA! Remember this and keep it fresh in your mind. If someone reminds themselves of this with each question asked them by an illegal polygraph examiner, and answers the question with the knowledge they do not have the right to ask you in the first place. The polygraph will show no changes. This is because it does not matter what you say because they do not have the right to force you to tell them. Of course I am not suggesting anyone try to lie to the polygraph, and I am defiantly not speaking from experience. The polygraph is as much a lie as the SOR. Do not trust these people they are less trust worthy then they believe you not to be.
