Yes,we need to spend less time saying that the registry is really a criminal system and more time pointing out and insisting that it is a civil regulatorn scheme and them follow that with, “how can you do this, and this, and THIS with a civil system?”

It relies on civil penalties rather than criminal punishment.
By all legal terminology and definition, the registry is a criminal scheme, not a civil.

Call the judges out on their own legal terminology. They can’t avoid the big difference they were taught in law school.
It’s that simple.
