In reply to DVC. Yes,we need to spend less time saying that the registry is really a criminal system and more time pointing out and insisting that it is a civil regulatorn scheme and them follow that with, “how can you do this, and this, and THIS with a civil system?”

“I am not dismissing accountability. ”

Accountablity and responsiblity ENDED at the compleation of sentences and probation. The registry circumvents that unConstitutionally by requiring open-ended monitoring and tracking that you’re forced to PAY for. It’s actually offensive when autorities claim “it’s not meant to be punishment” when it sure as hell meets the threshold for it.

Any law that deprives a father or mother from experiencing and partaking in their child’s development, milestones and agency is a crime against humanity.

A civil regulatory scheme is an organized system of non-criminal statutory rules, administrative standards, and enforcement procedures managed by government agencies to oversee public welfare, commerce, or the environment. It relies on civil penalties rather than criminal punishment.
By all legal terminology and definition, the registry is a criminal scheme, not a civil.

Call the judges out on their own legal terminology. They can’t avoid the big difference they were taught in law school.
It’s that simple.

There’s not enough victories like this. They are steady in every state trying to take everyone’s rights. This has been out of hand for years there’s no reciprocity in every state and there even attacking from other angles including trying to attack people for hiring convicted sex offenders in political ads

Warren Perry knew better. He should’ve been forthcoming with pastoral staff and his probation officer from the start. Now the entire State of South Carolina, along with other states and the federal government, I’m sure will enact legislation calling for further deprivation of rights to registrants.

The answer is clear: if anyone is on supervised release it’s their duty to know conditions of release and stick to them. It’s the safety net and keeps offender as well as the public safe no matter how much said offender disagrees with the conditions.

I am a citizen of the state of New Jersey, and I have been on Megan law for 30 years now, and the only violations I have gotten was for having a dirty urine or not reporting on time to my parole officer,and they keep saying that I have to keep charge free for 15-years in order to get off of magen law. I never had a case like this before or after this situation. Is there any way I can get some type of help with getting back with my family and wife who lives in New York state. I have no family in the state of New Jersey and all I want is to get home. Can I please find some type of help to get there with my family. Thank you.

Would writing the district attorney for the county Collegedale is located asking them to seek the death penalty in Kian Neal’s case do any good? If NARSOL and the state affiliates wrote letters to the district attorney or even the attorney general asking them to seek the death penalty that’d go a long way in making our voices heard.

The link to the story about the 2005 murder in Nevada actually occured in Utah
