Amanda Littrel is an Iowa-based criminal justice reform advocate, community leader, and justice-impacted professional whose work focuses on prison education, successful reentry, public safety, and reforming laws and policies that create lifelong barriers for individuals involved in the criminal legal system. Drawing on her personal experience with incarceration and reentry, Amanda advocates for policies that promote accountability, rehabilitation, successful reintegration, and safer communities. She also works to reform laws and practices that perpetuate unnecessary barriers and stigma. Her work is grounded in the belief that public safety is strengthened when individuals returning to their communities have meaningful access to education, employment, housing, family stability, and community support.
